(It is exceptionally rare for it to give a false posative). Also the registry cleaner included with TuneUp Utllities is one of the very few which are safe to use.

TuneUp Utilities 2009 (soon to be released) is much better - but of course not free. (However as I said previosuly cleaning the registry is usually a waste of time). It's working noting that 99% of registry "problems" are completely harmless - and leaving them in place will not harm your computer at all - even if hundres of supposed errors are found. So be careful - either manually verify every error found - or a much better option is to not use the registry cleaner. If you go ahead and delete all found registry problems then quite possibly it will cause problems with Windows or some of the programs you use. But if you were going to spend money on a utility suite TuneUp Utilities would be a much better option.īe extrmemly careful with the registry cleaner in WinUtilities - like 99% of registry cleaners it identifies some legitimate and needed registry entries as being bad. However Tuneup Utilities is not free so one can't complain.

This is a good program, however not nearly as good or as complete as TuneUp Utilities.
